Raja ram mohan roy was a great reformer. He established Brahmo samaj on august 1828 .He was a father of indian renaissance because of his many types of reforms like religious reforms, social reform,economic reforms, education reforms and political reforms .He continuously fought against the fixed revenue for the cultivators in Bengal and opposed heavy export duties imposed on Indian goods.. He fought against orthodox Hindus and fanatic Christian missionaries who never agreed to his beliefs.Roy lived in the era of freedom fighters and revolutionaries. Publicly, he never demanded independence for India, but still, he fought for the civil rights of the Indians and opposed the racial superiority of Europeans.He also helped Lord Macaulay in starting schools and colleges in India. The Hindu College and the Vedanta College in Calcutta were a result of this.
