Triangle law of vector addition
If two vectors are represented by both magnitude and direction by two sides of a triangle taken in the same order then their resultant is represented by side of the triangle.

Parallelogram law of vector addition
If two vectors are represented by both magnitude and direction by two adjacent sides of the parallelogram taken from the same point then their resultant is also represented by both magnitude and direction taken from the same point but by diagonal of the parallelogram.
