A sound of Thunder written by Ray Bradbury is a science fiction story set in 2025. He explores the concept of time travel and the consequences of altering the past.  This story opens with the customer,named Eckels who hires a time travel company to take him on a hunting expedition in the age of the dinosaur.

It represents the inescapability of morality as well as the dangers of human hubris. Death is a part of the natural order. 

The main theme is that little things can make a big difference. A minute change in the distant past can profoundly change  the future. It shows that everything has a purpose and that even the smallest mistakes could possibly change the entire course of evolution. 

A group of men emerge from a time machine into the land of dinosaurs intent on hunting an animal destined to die anyway. Eckels an avid hunter pays  $1000 to travel back to the age of dinosaurs to hunt a Tyrannosaurus rex. 

Climax of the story is a turning point and the point where everything changes. The last sound of thunder is the noise from Travis 's gun once he fires his weapon. 

The story ends in a ambiguous way, and the reader can argue. Travis commits suicide or kills Eckels for his tragic mistake.
