Solution: Since the dimensions of the cuboid are in the ratio 1:2:3 .

                So , let the dimensions  be x , 2x , 3x in meters .

Now ,

surface area =88m^2                                                           surface area of a cuboid = 2[lb+bh+lh]

Rightarrow       2(x	imes2x+2x	imes3x+x	imes3x)=88

Rightarrow       2(2x^2+6x^2+3x^2)=88

Rightarrow       22x^2=88Rightarrow x^2=frac8822Rightarrow x^2=4Rightarrow x=2m

	herefore       x=2m , 2x=2	imes2=4m , and 3x=3	imes2=6m

Hence the dimensions are 2m , 4m and 6m.
