 Solution :  The external dimension of the box are :

                 Length = 10 cm , Breadth = 8 cm , Height = 7 cm .

	herefore              External volume of the box =     (10	imes 8 imes 7)cm^3=560cm^3

                 Thickness of the wood = 1 cm

	herefore              Internal length = 10-2=8cm    ,    Internal  breadth =  8-2=6cm

                Internal height =  7-2=5cm

	herefore            Internal volume    = (8	imes 6 	imes 5)cm^3= 240cm^3

              Volume of the wood = External volume  -  Internal volume

                                               =   (560-240)cm^3=320 cm^3

Hence , total cost of wood required to make box   =   Rs (320	imes 2)   = Rs640
