Veins are blue in colour due to deoxygenated blood. If so why is the blood collected from veins are red always?

Veins are not blue in color. It appears blue due to the filtering of light in a different manner when it passes through the skin. Otherwise, the deoxygenated blood in the vein is dark red in color and in arteries, oxygenated blood is bright red in color.
