The five principles of filial duty by Confusius are -
1. Benevolence or ren- it means being kind and staying well.
2. Righteousness or yi- the quality of being justifiably and morally right.
3. Propriety or li- it means ownership. It could be ownership of goods or qualities.
4. Wisdom or zhi- the wisdom it grows from family by following social order. The foundation of society is a disciplined individual.
5. Fidelity or xin- it means faithfulness to a person, cause or belief. It is demonstrated by continuous loyalty and support.
