Color blindness is a genetic disorder in which a person has difficulty distinguishing between certain colors.
This happens mainly due to defects in cone cells of the retina which are responsible for color vision.
Color blindness is more common in males since it occurs due to X-linked recessive mutation and males only have one X chromosome, while females can be carriers if they have one defective gene.
