HIV is a virus called Human Immunodeficiency Virus  that attacks  cells in the immune system, which is our body’s natural defence against any kind of  illness. The virus destroys a type of  WBCs (white blood cells) in the immune system called asT-helper cell, and makes copies of itself inside these cells and can cause a disease like AIDS (Accquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome). However , if a person has HIV, and the earlier they are diagnosed, the sooner they can start treatment and can enjoy better health in the long term.
