best_answer

Plantation farming was introduced by Britishers in the nineteenth century and is bush or tree farming.

This has gained popularity in the north-eastern part of India, sub-Himalayan, West Bengal, and in Nilgiri, Annamalai, and cardamom hills in peninsular india.

This type of farming needs technical skills and the factories are closer to the farm or within the farm itself.

Tea, rubber, coffee, cocoa, spices, coconut, etc are farmed as per Bush farming.
