Robert Frost has been called the finest American poet of the 20th century. He is acknowledged as America's 'Grand old man of poetry'.He is a regional poet who deals with the atmosphere of New England.He is a nature poet. 

His first volume of lyrics was 'A Boy's Will' and the last collection of poems was 'In the Clearing'. He was awarded Pulitzer prize four times for poetry. He was such a great poet that his poetry became a source of comfort and inspiration to Jawahar Lal Nehru during the last day of his life.

Some main works of Frost-

New Hampshire, A Witness Tree, A masque of Reason, A further Range, Come in and other poems, Steeple Bush. 

Some of his famous poems are -Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, Birches, Mending Wall, The Road not Taken,  The Gift Outright, Nothing Gold can Stay.
