Shahjahan was a Mughal emperor, who ruled from 1628 to 1658. He was the son of emperor Jahangir. Shahjahan is best remembered for his architectural achievements. The Mughal emperor reached the peak of its cultural glory under his reign. That is why his reign is called golden age of Mughal architecture. The best monument commissioned by Shahjahan is Taj Mahal, which is one of the wonders of the world.
