The eye lens in a convex lens composed of a transparent, fibrous, jelly-like material. Ciliary muscles hold the eye-lens in position and control the focal length of the eye lens by contracting and expanding, the focal length of eye lens increase or decrease. Hence these muscles have a great role in focusing the nearby objects as well as far off objects.
