Upthrust = \frac{2}{10} \times 1 \times 10=2 \mathrm{~N}

Reading of S_1 will increase by 2N while that of S_2 will decrease by 2N.

\therefore \quad S_1=(5 \times 2)+2=52 \mathrm{~N}

S_2=(2 \times 2)-2=18 \mathrm{~N}
