Let we try to understand this using a example.

Let take u=-27 cm and radius of curvature of mirror R=36cm So f=-18cm

So find v

\frac{1}{v}=\frac{1}{f}-\frac{1}{u}

\frac{1}{v}=\frac{1}{-18}-\frac{1}{-27}

v=-54 cm

The screen should be placed at 54 cm from the mirror on the same side as that of the object to get image on the screen.

If we move the candle closer to the mirror then we have to move screen farther and farther.

But when candle is closer than 18 cm from the mirror then the image would be virtual and therefore cannot be collected on the screen.

Answer:

If the candle is moved closer to the mirror,

As we can see in the images

Image result for concave mirror image

It depends on the position of candle to move the screen to get image.
