A solid sphere, a cone and cylinder are floating in water. All have same mass, density and radius. Let f1, f2, and f3 are the fraction of their volumes inside the water and h1, h2, and h3 depths inside the water. Then-

Option: 1

f1 =  f2 = f3

Option: 2

f3 >  f2 > f1

Option: 3

h3 < h1

Option: 4

Fraction of volume immersed is given by

f=\frac{\rho_s}{\rho_l}

\rho_s and \rho_l are same. Hence f1 =  f2 = f3

Base area in third case is uniform. Hence, h3 is minimum.
