Let A and B two stone as shown in figure

and B just fell when A has descended at a distance x from the top of tower

t_A_{total}=\sqrt{\frac{2h}{g}}-\sqrt{\frac{2x}{g}}

 

similarlyt_B_{total}=\sqrt{\frac{2(h-y)}{g}}

 t_A_{total}=t_B_{total}
