M=6 \mathrm{~kg}                                           T=800 \mathrm{~N}

Mass Per unit length \mu=\frac{M}{L}=\frac{6}{40}

\mu=0.15 \mathrm{~kg} \mathrm{~m}^{-1}

Velocity,\, V=\sqrt{\frac{T}{M}}=\sqrt{\frac{800}{0.15}}=\sqrt{\frac{800 \times 100}{15}}

\sqrt{\frac{8}{15}} \times 100=\sqrt{0.534} \times 100 \\

= 0.7307 \times 100=73.07 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{s}

Time taken by disturbance to reach the other end

t=\frac{L}{V}=\frac{40}{73.07}=\frac{4000}{7307} \\

t=0.547 \mathrm{sec}t=0.547\, \mathrm{Sec}
