A transverse wave \mathrm{y=0.05 \sin (20 \pi x-50 \pi t)} in metre, is propagating along +ve x-axis on a string. A light insect starts crawling on the string with the velocity of 5 cm/s at t = 0 along the +ve axis from a point, where x = 5 cm. After 5 sec, the difference in the phase of its position is equal to-

\mathrm{\Delta \phi=\frac{2 \pi}{\lambda} \cdot \Delta x=k \cdot(\Delta x)=k(v t)}

Where, Vt= distance travelled by insect in given time interval

Or \mathrm{\Delta \phi=(20 \pi)\left(5 \times 10^{-2} \times 5\right)=5 \pi}
