\\ \text{FBD of block-}

\\ \text{Here,} \\ \text{N=Normal reaction force, weight,(W)=mg}\\ \text{Since, the body is at rest, so the net force in the y-direction will be zero.}\\ So, N=W\\ \Rightarrow N=mg=1\times 9.8=9.8 N
