\mathrm{B_1, B_2 \text { and } B_3} are the three identical bulbs connected to a battery of steady emf with key K closed. What happens to the brightness of the bulbs \mathrm{B_1 \text { and } B_2} when the key is opened?

Option: 1

Brightness of the bulb \mathrm{B_{1}} increases and that of \mathrm{B_{2}}decreases

Option: 2

Brightness of the bulbs \mathrm{B_{1}\text{ and }B_{2}} increases

Option: 3

Brightness of the bulb \mathrm{B_{1}} decreases and that of \mathrm{B_{2}}increases

Option: 4

When key K is opened, bulb \mathrm{B_{2}} will not draw any current from the source. So, that terminal voltage of source increases. Hence, power consumed by bulb increases. So, light of the bulb becomes more. The brightness of bulb \mathrm{B_{1}} decreases.
