As learnt in

Self Inductance -

An emf is induced in the coil or the circuit which oppose the change that causes it. Which is also known back  emf.

 2 H and 4 H are in parallel.

Their equivalent is   \frac{2\times 4}{2+4} = \frac{4}{3}\ H

\frac{4}{3}\ H  and \frac{2}{3}\ H  are in series, \Rightarrow L_{eq} = \left ( \frac{2}{3}+\frac{4}{3} \right )H

L_{eq} = 2\ H
