For a \mathrm{n^{\text {th }}} order reaction, rate (R) :
\mathrm{ R=k[A]^n }
For
\mathrm{ n=2 \\ }
\mathrm{ R=k[A]^2 }     .....(1)

The graph between rate of reaction and concentration is of the type :
\mathrm{ y=m x^2 }, i.e. a parabola
Also, from equation 1 :
Graph between rate of reaction and \mathrm{ (Concentration )^2 } is of the type \mathrm{ y=m x } i.e. a straight line passing through origin. Hence the order of the reaction is 2
