For the pair of reaction given below :

1) N_2 +3H_2 \rightleftharpoons 2NH_3 \\ \frac{1}{2}N_2+\frac{3}{2}H_2\rightleftharpoons NH_3

If at a particular temprature , kp_1 \: \: and \: \: kp_2  are the equilibrium constants for the reaction (1) and (2) respectively then ,

Option: 1

k_{p1} = 2k_{p2}

Option: 2

k_{p1} = k_{p2}^{2}

Option: 3

2k_{p1} = k_{p2}

Option: 4

k_{p1}^{2} = k_{p2}

As we have learned

Equilibrium constant for a net reaction -

K_{net}=K_{1}\times K_{2}.........

- wherein

The equilibrium constant for a net reaction obtained after adding two reactions equal the product of the equilibrium constant for individual reactions.

 The stoichiometry of reaction (1) is 1/2 of the reactin (2) as

k_{p1} = k_{p2}^{2}
