Important Results of Inverse Trigonometric Functions -

\sec ^{-1}\left ( \sec \Theta \right )= \Theta

- wherein

if 0\leqslant \Theta < \frac{\pi }{2}

or \frac{\pi }{2}< \Theta \leqslant \pi

 

 Since \sec ^{-1 } \sec \alpha = \alpha

Thus \pi /2 + \theta = \phi \Rightarrow \phi - \theta = \pi /2
