Given below are two statements :
Statement I : For \mathrm{KI}, molar conductivity increases steeply with dilution
Statement II : For carbonic acid, molar conductivity increases slowly with dilution In the light of the above statements, choose the correct answer from the options given below:

Option: 1

Both Statement I and Statement II are true

Option: 2

Both Statement I and Statement II are false

Option: 3

Statement I is true but Statement II is false

For strong electrolydes, \mathrm{\Lambda} increases slowly with dilution and can be represended by the equation \mathrm{\Lambda_{m}=\Lambda_{m}^{0}-A C^{v_{2}}}

\mathrm{KI} is sxrong electrolytes. So, molar conductivity increases slowly with dilution.
For weak electrolytes corbonic acid, molar conductiyity increases sleeply with dilution.

So Both statement I and II are false.

So, option (2) is correct.
