Carius method test for halogens -

percentage\:of\:X=\frac{Atomic\:mass\times m_{1}\times 100}{molecular\:mass\:of\:AgX\times m}

- wherein

 

 Carius method is used for the estimation of halogen

\%\:of\:Br\:=\: \frac{80 \times m_1 \times 100}{188 \times m}

                   =\: \frac{80 \times 0.12 \times 100}{188 \times 0.15}

                   = 34.04 g
