Here we will use the property that diagonals in parallelogram bisect each other.


\mathrm{\Rightarrow \frac{4+a}{2}=\frac{1+5}{2} \text { and } \frac{1+b}{2}=\frac{2+7}{2} }
\mathrm{\Rightarrow a=2 \text { and } b=3 }

Hence (C) is the correct answer.
