Order of a reaction:
For a given reaction: \mathrm{a A+b B+c C \rightarrow}  Products If,

Rate \mathrm{\propto[A]^p[B]^q[C]^r} Overall order of the reaction is : (p+q+r)
So, for

\mathrm{2 X(g)+3 Y(g)+Z(g) \rightarrow P(g)+Q(g)}

The experimental rate law is,

\mathrm{R=K[X]^{\frac{1}{2}}[Y]^{\frac{3}{4}}[Z]^a }

Thus, the overall order of the reaction is \mathrm{\left(\frac{1}{2}+\frac{3}{4}+a\right) }

Order of given reaction is  \mathrm{\frac{3}{4} }

\mathrm{ \therefore \frac{1}{2}+\frac{3}{4}+a=\frac{3}{4} \\ }

\mathrm{ a=\frac{-1}{2} }
Thr order of reaction with respect to   \mathrm{Z ~is ~\frac{-1}{2} }.
