The given equation can be written as 

or     \mathrm{\begin{aligned} & y^2\left(x^2-2 x-3\right)-4 y\left(x^2-2 x-3\right)=0 \\ & y(y-4)(x-3)(x+1)=0 \end{aligned}}

Which gives four straight lines y = 0, y = 4, x = 3, x = - 1. A set of four straight lines forming a square.
