Solution- Cyclic silicates contain \left(\mathrm{SiO}_3\right)_n^{2-} ions which are formed by linking three or more tetrahedral \mathrm{SiO}_4{ }^{4-} units cyclically. Each unit shares two oxygen atoms with other units. So formula of cyclic silicate in which 6 tetrahedra are arranged cyclically is \mathrm{Si}_6 \mathrm{O}_{18}{ }^{12}. Out of 18 oxygen, 6 oxygens are shared with other units.
