In LC circuit the inductanceL=40\; mH and capacitance C=100\; \mu F. If a voltage V(t)=10\sin (314)t) is applied to the circuit , the current in the circuit is given as :
Option: 1 10\cos 314\; t
Option: 2 0.52\cos 314\; t
Option: 3 5.2\cos 314\; t
Option: 4 0.52\; \sin 314\; t

As Z=\sqrt{R^{2}+\left ( X_{C}-X_{L} \right )^{2}}

But R=0

 Z=(X_{C}-X_{L})=\frac{1}{C_{w}}-Lw

 \Rightarrow Z=\frac{1}{100\ast 10^{-4}\ast 314}-(314\ast 40\ast 10^{-3})=31.84-12.56=19.28\Omega

i=\frac{V_{0}}{Z}\sin \left ( 314t+\frac{\pi }{2} \right )=\frac{10}{19.28}\cos (314t)=0.52\cos (314t)

Hence the correct option is (2).
