 In Young's double slit experiment, the seventh maxima with light of wavelength 1 is at d1 and the same maxima with same light of wavelength 2 is at d2, then d1/d2 equals, 

Answers (1)

position of nth maxima=\frac{nD\lambda }{d}

So d_1=\frac{7D\lambda_1 }{d}

and d_2=\frac{7D\lambda_2 }{d}

So \frac{d_1}{d_2}=\frac{\lambda _1}{\lambda _2}
