Variation of 'g' due to shape of earth -

Equitorial radius is about 21 km longer than polar radius.

Requator > Rpole

R_{e}\rightarrow Radius of equator

R_{p}\rightarrow Radius of pole

gpole > gequator

g_{p}=g_{e}+0.018m/s^{2}

Weight increases as body is taken from equator to pole

 

 Weight will increase as body is taken from equator to pole 

gp = ge +0.018 m/s2

so  ,  gp > ge
