Where, V= valence \mathrm{e^{-}}

            M= Monovalent atom
            C= Positive charge
            A= Negative charge

\mathrm{\mathrm{NO}_2^{+} \Rightarrow H=\frac{1}{2}(5-1)=2 \therefore \mathrm{sp}}

\begin{aligned} & \mathrm{NO}_3^{-} \Rightarrow H=\frac{1}{2}(5+1)=3 \therefore \mathrm{s p^2} \\ & \mathrm{NH}_4^{+} \Rightarrow H=\frac{1}{2}(5+4-1)=4 \therefore \mathrm{s p^3} \\ & \mathrm{NH}_3 \Rightarrow H=\frac{1}{2}(5+3)=4 \quad \therefore \mathrm{s p^3} \end{aligned}
