Condition of maximum deviation -

\delta _{min}= 2i-A

\mu = \frac{\sin \left ( \frac{\delta _{m}+A}{2} \right )}{\sin \left ( A/2 \right )}

 

  i=e \Rightarrow angle of deviation  is minimum

i=e =\frac{3}{4}A 

or

i=e =45^{\circ}

\delta =i+e-A =2i-A =2\times 45^{\circ}-60 =30^{\circ}
