Optical Fibre -

it is used to transmit light signal from one place to another without any practical loss in the intensity of light signal .

 In optical fibre signals travel in form of light which remains unaffected due to electricals or electromagnetic interference 

When a light ray is incident on interface of two optical mediums , there are two possibilities - refraction or reflection .

Reflection of light takes place only when 

n_2 <n_1

Angle of incidence is more than critical angel 

This phenomenon takes place during transmission of light signals in opticals fibre
