packing \; fraction=\frac{1\times volume\; of\; atom}{Volume\; of\; unit\; cell}

                                       =\frac{\frac{4}{3}\pi r^{3}}{\left ( 2r \right )^{3}}=\frac{\pi }{6}=0.52

 

No. of atoms(z) for end centered unit cell -

Lattice point: at corners and one pair of opposite face centers.

For  end centered cubic, z=2
