Spacing between successive nodes =\frac{\lambda}{2}=x

v = n \lambda

\lambda\propto v\propto \sqrt{\frac{T}{\mu}}

\frac{\lambda _1}{\lambda _ 2}=\sqrt{\frac{T_1}{T_2}}=\frac{\sqrt{T}}{\sqrt{2T}}=\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}

\lambda _2= \sqrt{2}\lambda

\lambda _1= \lambda

\lambda _2= \sqrt{2}\lambda

Find spacing between successive nodes =\frac{\lambda _2}{2}=\frac{\sqrt{2}\lambda}{2}=\sqrt{2}x
