Let the centre be  \mathrm{C} \equiv(\alpha, \alpha)  Now

\begin{aligned} & \frac{\text { dis tan ce of }(\alpha, \alpha) \text { from }(1,1)}{\text { dis tance of }(\alpha, \alpha) \text { from }(4,4)} \\ & =\frac{\mathrm{ae}}{\mathrm{a} / \mathrm{e}}=\mathrm{e}^2 \Rightarrow \frac{\alpha-1}{\alpha-4}=9 \Rightarrow \alpha=\frac{35}{8} . \end{aligned}
