If you look at problem, z^2 + 2 |z|^2 = 2 , it is clear that z^2 must be real.

if you solve |z|^2 = 2(1-|z|^2) you get |z|^2 = \frac{2}{3}

so, if we represent z^2 = |z|^2 * e^{i2A}

for \ z^2 \ be \ real \ then \ the \ value \ A \ can \ take \ are \ \pi/2 , \pi, -\pi/2 , -\pi
