The reaction of glucose with \mathrm{(\mathrm{CH}_3 \mathrm{CO})_2 \mathrm{O}} gives glucose pentaacetate, which has five acetyl group in the structure. This reaction also proves that all the 5 OH groups are present at different carbon atoms, because of the stable nature of glucose.
