Let us consider the employees to be E1, E2, E3, E4, E5, and E6.

Consider A, B, and C to be three types of gift boxes.

E1 can get any of the 3 from A, B, and C in 3 ways.

E2 can get any of the 2, other than what A got in 2 ways.

E3, E4, E5, and E6 each can get different gift boxes in 2 ways

Thus, the total number of ways in which distribution is given by,

3\times 2\times 2\times 2\times 2\times 2=96

Therefore, the number of ways in which the distribution of gift boxes can be done in 96 ways
