\mathrm{ Be^{2+}} in in excited state has the configuration \mathrm{1s^{2}2s^{1}2p^{1}}. In \mathrm{BeF_2} the two electrons from fluorine are present in one \mathrm{s } and one \mathrm{ p} orbital forming pair with the excited electrons. To accommodate two more fluorine anions, \mathrm{BeF_2} undergoes \mathrm{sp } hybridisation and the remaining \mathrm{ 2p} orbitals are free for \mathrm{ F^{-}} ions to donate their electrons.

Hence option 2 is correct.
