velocity of sound = \sqrt{\frac{rR T}{m}}

\begin{aligned} & v_{r m s}=\sqrt{\frac{3 k T}{m}} \\ & \frac{V_s}{V_{\text {rms }}}=\sqrt{\frac{r}{3}}=\frac{1}{\sqrt{5}} \\ & \frac{r}{3}=\frac{1}{5} \\ & r=\frac{3}{5} \\ & r=1+\frac{2}{f_{\text {mix }}}=\frac{3}{5} \Rightarrow \frac{2}{f_{\text {mix }}}=\frac{3}{5}-1=\frac{-2}{5} \\ & f_{\text {mix }}=\frac{1 \times 3+(n+1) \times 5}{(n+1)+1}=\frac{3+5 n+5}{n+2} \\ & -5=\frac{8+5 n}{n+2} \quad\left(f_{\text {mix }}=-5\right) \\ & \end{aligned}

-5n - 10 = 8 + 5n

10n = -18

n = -1.8
