CBSE will release JEE Main 2018 hall ticket in the second week of March. It can be expected to be available online before or on March 14, 2018. To download, you will have to enter your application number and date of birth. So you must make sure that you have these particulars ready before proceeding to fill the form. The date of birth has to be same as the one entered while filling the application form. After this, you have to enter the security pin (case sensitive) displayed on screen and click on the download button. This year, candidates do not have to enter their class 12 roll number while downloading the admit card. This is because class 12 marks will not be used in preparing the JEE Main merit list of qualified candidates.
Please note that you can download the JEE Main admit card only if your form has been accepted by CBSE, i.e., you have successfully submitted the application form and obtained the confirmation page. On the hall ticket, details like your name, father’s name, name and address of exam centre, exam schedule etc. will be printed. If you face any problem while downloading the admit card or in case there is any mistake in the details, you should get in touch with JEE Main Secretariat/ CBSE without delay. There are helpline numbers provided by the authority that can be contacted on such occasions. Helpline numbers for the offline test and the computer based test are different. For offline test, you can contact the numbers 7042399520, 7042399521, 7042399525, 7042399526 and if you are taking the computer based test, you can call the number 18002669778. In case of CBT, you can also send a mail to jeemain2017.cbt@gmail.com. Queries related to the CBT test will be attended from March 1, 2018 onwards.
You can access JEE Main admit card until the exam day. Candidates appearing for the offline exam can download their JEE Main admit card till April 8, 2018 and those appearing for the computer based test can download the hall ticket till April 15 (April 16 in case of candidates taking the test on 16th). However, it is advisable that you download it a few days beforehand. On the admit card, there will be instructions stating that candidates will not be able to carry pens or watches to the exam hall and so on. There will also be mention of other exam day guidelines and details about the exam centre allotted to you. So you should make it a point to read those instructions carefully after downloading it. This way, you can avoid confusion and last minute hassles on the day of exam. Hope this answers your question. All the best!
