Water pollution can be controlled by,

A ) Sewage treatment

1) Primary treatment
2) Secondary treatment
3) Tertiary treatment

These consist of processes like Shredding, churning, floatation, screening and sedimentation etc.

Organic matter is decomposed through sewage fungus by either trickling filter method or activated sludge method. The cleared water is then chlorinated to kill pathogens.

(B) Reverse osmosis and ion exchange 

By reverse osmosis and ion exchange method, the pollutants can be separated from polluted water.

Therefore, Option(3) is correct
