During the course of the evening, A and a girl aged 17, both drunk, were alone in the upstairs bedroom and he asked the girl whether she wished to lose her virginity. A took advantage of the state of the victim as she was under the influence of alcohol. Section 375 (v), negatives the consent of the women for the purpose of the offence of rape, if the woman is of unsound mind, or is under the influence of intoxication at the relevant time. Hence the correct option is c.
