 AB = 12 cm

∠BAD = ∠CAD this means AD is the angle bisector of angle BAC

Apply the concept of angle bisector

\\\Rightarrow \frac{AB}{AC}=\frac{BD}{CD}\Rightarrow \frac{12}{AC}=\frac{4}{5}\\\\\Rightarrow AC=15\;cm
