The given equations are

\begin{array}{c} 11 x+15 y=-23\qquad\ldots(1) \\ 7 x-2 y=20\qquad\qquad\ldots(2) \end{array}

Multiplying (1) by 2 and (2) by 15 and adding the results, we get

22 x+105 x=-46+300

\\\Rightarrow 127 x=254\\\\\Rightarrow \quad x=\frac{254}{127}=2

Putting x = 2 in (1), we get

\\22+15 y=-23\\ \\\Rightarrow 15 y=-23-22 \\\\\Rightarrow 15 y=-45 \\\\\Rightarrow y=\frac{-45}{15}=-3
Hence, x = 2 and y = -3
